Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson says he does not see a problem in agreeing a new deal at Anfield.

Henderson, 24, was named the Reds' vice-captain last month and is viewed as the long-term successor to current skipper Steven Gerrard.

The Englishman has less than two years to run on his current deal and the club are hoping to tie in him to a similar long-term deal to international team-mate Daniel Sturridge.

Sterling was the one England player who returned from their World Cup failure in Brazil with his stock greatly enhanced and the teenage star will carry the hopes of Liverpool fans still grieving the loss of Luis Suarez.
