Rome Fortune shares a new project entitled "Small VVorld."
Recently, Atlanta -- which was already the arguably the weirdest city in hip-hop -- has gotten even weirder thanks to a gaggle of artists that includes Key!, Father, OG Maco and iLoveMakonnen. Their loose brand of drugged-up, zonked-out atmospheric trap, which is just starting to take off in popularity, had a predecessor in the music of Rome Fortune, another ATLien.
Over the course of his two Beautiful Pimp tapes, Fortune created a blueprint for this new sound, and now, he returns with a project that feels like a victory lap of sorts. Small VVorld boasts contributions from Maco and Makonnen, and its production comes from SuicideYear, Four Tet, Blood Diamonds and many more.
